The idea of Green Girls Global came about in September 2006 when Vicky, one of the editors of the fantastic City Hippy blog heard the sad news that City Hippy would be no more. Determined to not let the City Hippy spirit die and inspired by its founder, Al Tepper, the editors decided to continue with a brand new blog. By coincidence the founding editors were all women and came from various parts of the UK and the world, hence the name Green Girls Global.
